This boat is an attempt to correct the flightiness of my first 48" mono. It is 2 inches narrower and has a changed bottom. The original boat may still be best if you are going to use a heavier engine with less power such as a weed whacker motor, but the new hull is definitely better and less liable to blow over with higher powered engines such as Zenoahs or RCMK's. I have been very happy with mine so far. Doug
