You asked a question that I've been interested in knowing about too.
Here's the perfect thing to use 'CLICK HERE'
(http://www.rcfishingworld.com/) its The "RC FISHING POLE" it fits on
any RC Boat. Make sure and let us know how you do.

I'm on my third rc fishing boat. I find it a bit more interesting than
normal shore based fishing. My first was just a piece of foam with 2 540
motors driven in a dozer type setup. It was OK but not very reliable and
then got trashed when I fished in salt water.

Second boat was a fibreglass hull like a trawler. Also went for a jet
powered brushless setup. It had a jet thruster in the front, brushless
power a 2 7ahr 12v batteries. Was too heavy, run time about 1hr. Did
build a great little real setup thou, 12v geared real drive. Also the
modded fishfinder worked well up to a certain range. All up a lot of fun
to build and use but was too heavy.

Now building a third one. 1.2m meter deep V hull, large second hand jet
unit powered by a very quiet 22cc Honda 4 stroke which still has the
cooling fan but I have also wound some 4mm alloy tube between the vents
which has cool water pumped through it. All the radio gear is now in a
small waterproof camera box (Pelican). Boat has a seperate geared 6v 540
setup to get it back to shore if the motor stalls/runs out of power.

Anyway, project a bit $$ but good fun. A few years ago we set up a
model glider for beach fishing. It had a remote release hook. We would
just release the reel, hook up the bait hook and fly it as far out as
possible, then release. Fly it back and land. Easy 200m cast into the
wind

Too many toys, not enough time...

Hi Hobydude, I am looking for a good fishing boat to take out my lines, but from the share, not DAM or lake. Have you got any plans you could share, planning on using a homelitew motor. Thanks!
