You will need to play with the printer settings in the application your printing from. In Adobe Acrobat Pro there is a setting called Page Scaling.

gc9n, it appears he used nylon wire ties. I just use masking tape and some weight to hold mine while the glue dries. If you go to the General forum and look at the thread titled "questions about the gas mono" I posted a series of pictures from when I built mine. Doug

Question wildthing

hi every one im new to this site glad to find one after weeks of searching that deals with home building and actually gives access to free plans. ive been looking for 3d cad files but your 2d files will work, amazing how you forget to do things old school when your used to new technology. any way to get on subject i'm looking to build the wild thing also but the problem i have is the depth of the hull, the strimmer engine i have is 150mm high and the boat at its highest point is about 140mm. As the engine wont sit right on the bottom im thinking it will sit quite high out trhe top and it might be top heavy. Is anyone elses engine this size if so is it a problem.

I printed out mine using the free acrobat readed found all over the web. There is a icon of a camera on the top of the page that takes a "Snapshot" of an area on the page you select with the mouse. Then click file print, and under the print screen select print selection. If you grabbed more than will fit on a 8 1/2 x 11 it will show you what will be cut off. When you are done just tape all the peices together. I added a line of random text along the bottom of the pages containing the top, side and bottom because there was no way of taping it back together and knowing where to line up the peices. With the text you line it up and is is a sure fit. i made the entire frame and glued it up tonight. I traced the bottom and will cut it out and glue it on in the morning. This (72") boat should take about one hour a day for a week to get done. I am going to epoxy and fiberglass the entire thing.

Thanks for the plans!

If anyone wants the plans with the text lines added e mail me at thinwaterboats@yahoo.com and I will sent them to you.

They would be good to post on the site also.

JIM
